ANSI 150lb API JIS Standard Flanged Gate Valve
Gate valve is used as a cut-off medium, the whole flow through when fully open, at this time the medium running pressure loss is the minimum. Gate valves are generally designed to operate without the need for frequent opening and closing and with the gate either fully open or fully closed. Not suitable for use as regulation or throttling. For high speed flow medium, the vibration of gate can be caused by partial opening of gate, which may damage the sealing surface of gate and seat. From the structural form, the main difference is the form of the sealing element used. According to the form of sealing elements, gate valves are often divided into several different types, such as: wedge gate valve, parallel gate valve, parallel double gate valve, wedge double gate gate, etc.. The most common form is wedge and parallel gate valves.
